Craig Griffin (b. 1961 Atlanta, GA) is an American artist currently living and working in Dunwoody, GA.
After spending most of his adult life as a landscape contractor, a series of events in his early forties led to profound changes in his life. The death of his teenage son and two heart attacks forced him to recognize the fragility of life. This combined with the knowledge that both his parents passed away by the age of 50, Craig became preoccupied with the passage of time.
Craig began to explore his newfound interest in art. Having never been in an art gallery or taken an art class, he tried his hand at wood sculpting. As people started appreciating his work, he expanded to other media types, creating his first paintings at the age of 50.
He has continued to produce and sell contemporary art pieces as timeless, tangible memories of a life well-lived. Over 80 original pieces of art are always available for viewing at his private studio in Dunwoody.
Craig is married to his high school sweetheart. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
